Why the name, and where are the cranberries?

Cranberries haven't been mentioned since the first three years, when I registered ThirtyOneCranberries as a nonprofit organization simply to educate others about the importance of eating healthier foods and making healthier lifestyle choices. That is still the heart of everything we do.

During a routine visit, my primary care physician told me about some medical issues she had noticed. I chose not only to listen — I chose to make lifestyle changes, starting with the food I eat. You must change to bring about change, and the changes I made have benefited me tremendously.

That is where our brand phrase comes from: "See the difference. Feel the difference. Live the difference." "We're eating healthier every day" is also part of the brand. I live the difference, and so can you.

Finally, I have added: "For a healthier planet I know is possible."

Why the butterfly?

The butterfly you often see on the shirts I wear represents personal change and transformation — the same kind of change that begins with healthier choices. It encourages others to never give up on their dreams, despite life's challenges.

I'm also passionate about the survival of butterflies. As pollinators, they help flowers and gardens grow, yet they face many challenges to survive.
